Take a nerdy computer geek who has become rich from an app he created moving into a new apartment and almost instantly falling in love with his neighbor across the hall. From his past experiences with women he feels that he has to change his appearance and come on to her in a more manly way than the geeky computer expert. Their first couple of dates turn into disasters because of his interests clashing with hers. With the help of an exercise DVD and the lead role in a play being presented by the community theater group he sees a change in her attraction to him. When he puts on his pirate costume he becomes more manly and controlling. He uses this to win her over though there are some bumps in the road toward their forever happiness that awaits them. The story is interesting because of what Barry goes through to win Amber over to his side. He is captivated by her art work and secretly purchases some of her works to encourage her. He works to get in shape so that he will be more attractive to her. When impressing her with his silliness and happy go luckiness does not work he tries becoming more demanding and controlling which his role in the play helps him create. Amber, on her part

The first 3 chapters read like a comedy. By the fourth chapter the real romance started to blossom. I really felt sorry for Barry. He wasn't bad looking, he had a killer body but his geekiness showed like a beacon in the night. He had no idea how to date and I'm surprised Amber even gave him a second chance. I guess opposites attract. Barry never gave up. I think it was his brother that saved him. Remember the three C's? For some there is that instant attraction and for others it starts as a friendship and grows from there. That was the case for Amber. Her and Barry were friends and her attraction grew from that and his 6-pack abs and 2-pack butt. All in all this was a fun and entertaining read. I can't wait to see what's next for this talented author. Received a copy in exchange for an honest review

HOLY SMOKES!!!!!! I absolutely LOVED IT!!! First of all, this was one SCORCHING HOT read. I wasn't sure what to expect in that regard after reading the first couple chapters, but just like the moral of the story, one never knows where hotness may linger. The narration was wonderful! The whole story read so smoothly, and there was never a dull part. The dialogue was very believable and the details of the settings, emotions, etc. made it easy to put myself in the story. Kylie inserted humor in perfect increments and I laughed out loud many times, right from the beginning. The conflict was pretty low-stress, which was fitting given the light-hearted nature of the story. This was not the first Kylie book I have read, and this will DEFINITELY not be the last. Her books have kept me thoroughly entertained on many levels, and I love spending my time reading her work. If the epilogue was any indication of what the next book will be about, then it was a perfect set-up and I am dying to read it!!! ***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
