About this ebook

Football genius Troy White is back in a new adventure that mixes NFL thrills with high-stakes junior high games made just as exciting by the storytelling power of bestselling author Tim Green.

When Troy White proved his remarkable “football genius” to the Atlanta Falcons, they brought him on board as a team consultant. Now, thanks to Troy’s ability to predict winning plays, the Falcons are pulling in victories. Troy loves his starring role behind the scenes and the thrill of having NFL star linebacker Seth Halloway (who’s dating Troy’s mom) to coach his own Duluth Tigers team on their way to a state championship.

Then Troy’s perfect world comes crashing down. Reporter Brent Peele is out to smear as much mud on the Falcons as he can, and that means going after Troy. The vicious media storm that descends on the football genius threatens not only his job with the Falcons and the Tigers’ run at a championship but his mother’s career—and Seth’s—as well.

Together with his best friends, loyal Nathan and feisty Tate, Troy sets out to unmask the dishonest Peele—and save Seth’s reputation—no matter what the risk.

With his signature blend of thrilling action and insider knowledge, Tim Green shows Troy, hero of the New York Times bestselling Football Genius, in a new and riveting adventure.

Football Champ is a great book with tons of suspense, great details that put you inside the story, and some comedy too. It is the sequel to Football Genius, which was also written by Tim Green. Football Champ follows Troy White, a boy with an unusual talent, and his interaction with a professional football team and his own football's team journey to the championship. What makes Troy stand out from any other 12 year old in town? He can predict the plays/movements of the other team with football knowledge and with patterns only he can figure out. This is why the Falcons, a professional football team, are letting Troy tell the coaches what to do to help stop the other team from winning. Thanks to Troy, the Falcons are doing very well and thinking about the championship themselves. However, the team's owner doesn't want anybody to know how Troy is helping them because they would assume he was cheating and not using his knowledge of football or patterns to predict. However, one reporter who has a dark history with one of the Falcons players, Seth Halloway, might just ruin it all for Troy and the Falcons. Seth Holloway is also Troy's mom's boyfriend as well as the head coach of Troy's football team. With Seth as their coach and Troy playing amazingly at quarterback, his Tigers are on their way to the championship. This too is in jeopardy of getting ruined by a sneaky reporter, Brent Peele. Brent Peele and Seth went to the same college as each other and were on the same football team too. One day during practice, Seth unintentionally ended Brent's career with a hard tackle. Now, Brent Peele is out to get Seth, and is willing to lie and cheat to do it. One day, Brent sneaks into a room with Troy and tells him that he will tell he world about his amazing ability. Troy believes him and tells him the entire story, but Brent twists it into a story telling the world how Troy is helping the Falcons cheat. He also made a claim that Seth took steroids, a substance baned from the NFL. Troy needs to act fast if he wants to save his football team, the Falcons, and Seth. Can Troy let the truth out before it's too late? Find out in Football Hero by Tim Green. -Anvit Reddy
