No good deed goes unpunished as Alma learns when she accompanies an old friend into a den of vipers affectionately known as “family”. So many twists and turns. Every time I thought I had a handle on what was going on around Alma, there’d be a new revelation that would completely change my understanding. This book was filled with suspense, a little bit of silliness, and a whole lot of magical powers. I’m now experiencing the terrible book hangover I get every time I come to the end of a volume in this series, and I can’t wait until there’s another new story and I can do this all over again. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

A singing Gnome? I think the author has a bit of magic in her too just like her delightful characters. This book was a pleasure to read I enjoyed it so much. I have not read a great many cozies lately so this was a refreshing change for me. I adored the characters Alma is on the case so everything is okay but what about Seth? It looks like in a charming fantasy there has to be something going on the needs a lawyer! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
