Expected the line '...if it weren't for them pesky kids...' to be in the final few pages! Ridiculous story development and clunky dialogue. Several hours of my life reading this book I'll never get back! Do yourself a favour and read the back of a cereal box.

I like the characters. You kinda want to be neighbors but they really aren't great amateur sleuths. The real mystery is how this book is called a mystery. It's cozy for sure but the mystery doesn't really seem to be there

The only flaw is the introduction of bit characters who seem likely to feature in a future book in the series. Some are so interesting you want to follow them as they wander out of this story.
