서울대학교 무역학과를 졸업하고, 출판사와 학원을 경영했다. 우연히 시작한 회계와 세법 공부에 매력을 느껴 공인회계사, 세무사의 길을 걷게 되었다.수년간 세무회계사무소를 운영했으며 현재는 인성회계법인 부대표로 세무대리 및 회계감사, 회계 및 세무자문 업무를 수행하고 있다.서울상공회의소 세무회계상담역, 민주언론시민연합감사, 한국출판인회의 세무고문, 한겨레두레협동조합 등 여러 협동조합과 지방도시공사 감사, 지방자치단체 결산검사위원 등을 역임하면서 실무자 교육 및 저술활동에도 힘쓰고 있다. 각종 매체에 절세 관련 칼럼을 쓰고 있고, 일반인들의 세무회계에 대한 관심과 지식을 넓히기 위해 강의와 저술활동을 꾸준히 하고 있다.
