I only saw one page on the free sample :'( Why do I have to buy this book when I only just want to make scones or cakes? :-(

About the author

After training at the Paris Cordon Bleu, Mary Berry started her career as cookery editor of Housewife and Ideal Home magazines. She is well known for her many television appearances, culminating in the BBC1 series Mary's Berry's Ultimate Cakes and Mary Berry at Home. One of Britain's foremost cookery writers, she often appears as a guest on BBC2's Saturday Kitchen, and has written over 40 cookery books. Most recently, Mary has appeared on TV as the judge of the Great British Bake Off.
