About the author

董含 (1624-2697) 為明末順治年間進士，但不久隨即因江南巡撫朱國治展開了奏銷案導致其功名被革除，此後在家寫作並於晚年出版了筆記小說《三岡識略》。關於《三岡識略》的評價，《中國古代小說總目提要》說「全書內容廣博，文筆流暢」，史學家謝國楨亦曾說此書為「研究明末清初社會風俗的重要書籍」。《三岡識略》為一編年體筆記小說集，記載內容自 1644 年至 1693 年，直接或間接地涉及到清初 50 年的歷史，董含的另一作品《三岡續略》則接續記載 1694 年到 1697 年的條目。（中央研究院明清研究推動委員會）
