This compendium is a collection of papers which were presented in National Seminar on the theme “FinTech: Innovative Business Model for Financial Inclusion.” Organized by Department of MBA, I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida on November 15th, 2019. Through this compendium we aim to collate the ideas generated in the Seminar and bring them to the readers.


FinTech is one of the promising industries all over the world and at the same time disruption to financial services Industry. The high usage of smart phones and technology based products has created the demand for accessing of financial services through internet. Further, this growth is expected to be USD 305.7 bn by 2023. The services provided by these companies are not only confined to payments, it cater much broader range of services like lending, capital market and wealth management.  


The collection of papers in this compendium focuses on various dimensions on the contemporary and emerging trends of banking and financial services in a digital world and major issues and challenges for the future market players in Financial Services Industry.


About the author

Dr. Sunita Shukla is currently Head and Associate Professor of Department of MBA at I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida. She has more than 20 years of experience in Industry, Research, Teaching, Training and Academic Administration. She has done her Ph.D. in management. A merit position holder she has done her post graduation in Statistics as well as PGDBA and MBA. 


As head of the Department of MBA she is involved in developing and operationalising academic processes for MBA students. She shoulders the additional responsibility as Head – Admissions at I.T.S Engineering College. She has worked in various capacities including Examination Controller at I.T.S - Institute of Management, Greater Noida and Editor of “Mangement Perspective” a journal of management of IILM- Graduate School of Management. 


She has been a resource person and a trainer for Management Development Programmes at various national and international forums. Her research interests include self awareness, emotional intelligence, personality and employee engagement. She has written many research papers in the journals of national and international repute and received five best research paper awards at International Conferences. She has also published a book on Leadership. 

Dr. Kamal Gupta currently working as an Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida. Dr. Kamal is an academician with more than seven years of experience out of which four years in corporate and three years in academics. He is a post graduate in Management with specialization in Finance and Marketing. He has done his Ph.D. in management from Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala on Asset Pricing Models.


He started his career as an associate in one of the leading Investment banking company, Emerging India Value Advisors Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi in 2008. There he was involved in Financial Modelling assignments for the clients and also part of the team of investor relation activity. In 2017, He decided to join academics as a full time professor from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar (Punjab).


He has written many research papers in the journals of national and international repute and edited various books. He has attended various workshop on different domain in finance area. His area of research is Asset Pricing Models, Financial Literacy and Capability and Corporate Finance.
