About this ebook

Design research is a complex synthesis concerned with the design process, encompassing design epistemology, theoretical perspective, methodology, and method. The study of design research and its widespread applications began with the aspiration to scientize design. However, similar to its predecessors, such as sciences and arts, design has gradually been identified as an independent discipline that has formed its own intellectual characteristics of research process. Thus, design research collects design knowledge and applies creativity and innovation to invent things that do not yet exist. Design Knowledge provides a walk-through within the design research field of inquiry, incorporating somewhat paradoxical visual contexts.
