Modessitt books are always thought provoking and interesting. A new sequence is a major event and I look forward to the journey.

Never thought I'd enjoy a political intrigue story. Perhaps it was the light fantasy seasoning that made it so palatable? I'm not sure, but I couldn't put it down until I was done and only took the time to write this before starting in on the next one
