Unlike most here, I did not care for this book. The characters experienced no growth & the lead was the same self-loathing twit she was at the beginning. And, good lord, the self-loathing. I don't think the lead is able to have a coherent thought without hating herself, which got very tiring for me. I can't begin to count the holes that were left at the ending. And, yes, I recognize that many books in this genre leave holes as an excuse for a sequal. These were not those types of holes. These were, "Holy crap! I've hit 325 pages and the story's only 3/4 through! Quick, finish it! Finish it!" holes that leave little regard for major plot points. I don't recommend this book and, like a bad lover, I was glad when it was done so I could move on with my life.

Not at all what I was expecting but a really good read. Although being a bbw myself I did get sick of her mentioning it but loved when the light bulb went off. Cannie was oblivious to any man who wasn't Bruce and had other issued that kept her locked in a world that kept her down but once she woke up she was wondrous. This author gives us a great wake up story for women who aren't happy with some part of themselves and does it so we laugh, cry and heal. Well written with characters that help (Dr K) and love and support her when she remembers to ask while reminding us at the same time. I haven't read this author before but I truly had a blast getting to know her style.

I've read this book twice before - and it's a fast chick lit read. The ending part with The Pusher gets me every time, though, overall, it is not a book worthy of deep emotions. It is rather implausible and the main character is, well, selfish and just doesn't seem like that good of a person, though she is supposed to be - or maybe it's just that I shouldn't have read this book more than twice because I am nit-picking now. I know I really adored it the first time I read it... and I am still looking forward to the sequel...
