About this ebook

If the women on Sex and the City got dates on a daily basis, and even the more normal-looking girls on Girls, then why wasn’t I? If I wanted to live the fun, twentysomething life I was destined to live, I was going to have to up my game.

Ellie used to be a virgin, but now she’s a woman with sexual experience. Well, some sexual experience. She also has debt, an unpaid magazine internship, and three flatmates who left her with the single room to match her single status.

That’s okay. She doesn’t want a boyfriend anyway—she wants several. And if the sex is exciting enough, her ruthless magazine-editor boss can exploit her dating life for a column.

But after countless hookups and forced attempts at seeming sexy backfire, Ellie starts to witness the emotional wreckage she’s leaving in her wake. Turns out that sex can be hard—and there’s a downside to giving it up too easy…

At twenty one, Ellie Kolstakis finally got rid of the virginity that had pestered her for so many years, but still she is not content, because she now wants to gain sexual experience, which proves to be as exhausting and as much work. Now she has an unpaid position at a prestigious web magazine writing about her experiences with dating; she is as are all twentysomethings, trying to figure out her life. Maybe I read the book at the wrong time – it happens to all of us – but I did not find NOT THAT EASY as funny as VIRGIN, Ms. Sanghani’s previous book. It does have many humorous moments as Ellie is on a quest for the big O, which remains elusive; however, at times, I felt more like I was reading a Cosmo article on the subject. The characters are as endearing and authentic as ever, the women’s friendship still sound totally real, and the writing is brisk, modern and flows very well; NOT THAT EASY is an entertaining book, that makes you think about our own life. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A hilarious look at a young woman's journey to find satisfying sexual experience. This author's sense of humor is outrageously funny. In this her second book, Ellie is now out of school, working an unpaid internship, and sharing a flat with three of her friends. I really enjoyed her in Virgin but I found her slightly annoying in this book. While I didn't personally care for this story overall, it was extremely funny.
