It's good representation, the world building using Chinese mythology and phrasings was well done, the story was sweet. It was also a bit cliche in some parts, but I just couldn't get enough of it. This was my first gay romance novel and it was something I wish could have gone on forever. I wish I had a romance like this when I was in high school, cause the main leads Dylan and Theo were just so sweet

SHER LEE writes rom-coms and fantasy novels for teens. Fake Dates and Mooncakes is her debut. Like the main character, she has made mooncakes with her favorite aunt and has an abiding love for local street food (including an incredible weakness for xiao long bao). She lives in Singapore with her husband and two adorable corgis, Spade and Clover.
