I would love to give this book 100 stars. So much happened in it. Joy, sadness, funny and perfect. I cried when the orphans walked down the stairs. Happy May had a happy ending to. Cassie and Doris should have been younger like 9 &11

After reading the first story of The Merridew sisters I was hooked, and purchased all of them. This book was hard for me to read only because I can relate. I was also mentally and physically abused as a child. This book is a must read.
