Lethal Nights was an interesting story with interesting characters. That I did enjoy, even though for me it was a little hard to get into. But there's no denying it did have a lovely mixture of darkness, suspense and mystery. Not to mention when the sex occurred, it was super hot. Still, I did struggle even having read the two previous stories, and for some reason it took a while to really hook me in. There were also parts I couldn't quite connect with. Including the mystical elements surrounding Ilyas tattoo. Plus, I felt this story was struggling to place itself as either paranormal romance or romantic suspense. Yet even so, this was a well written tale and there was a lot in there I genuinely liked, but it just didn't come together enough to really engage me. And whilst it's probably not my favourite of the series its by no means the least; and I would happily recommend it to others. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via St Martin's Press in exchange for an honest review**

Let me first say that while this is book 3 it really is a standalone and I did at no time feel like I missed anything from the previous books. I will say this is the first time I have read this author and while it did have a decent story I probably wont become a fan. Not because the writings bad it's just that I am beginning to enjoy a lot less steam and more story. In this case the story felt incomplete. You definitely knew they had the chemistry it just felt like so much was left unsaid. I really tried to get into it and almost did but being piece fed tidbits on Dragon just made it all have more of a supernatural feel which isn't bad because I enjoy those too. All in all I wanted to know more and know less at the same time.

4 Star Review Lethal Nights (Brute Force #3) by Lora Leigh This is Ilya Dragonovich and Emma Jane Preston’s story. There was a great deal of chemistry between Ilya and Emma and it was scorchingly hot. Lethal Nights had action, suspense, danger and intrigue which kept me interested. I had a hard time engaging with the characters as much as I would have liked, but that is more me, than them. I did like how focused and determined Ilya was to protect Emma and I admired Emma’s strength and how she has moved on from her past. There were secrets, lies and surprises and Ms. Leigh wove an interesting story. Will Ilya be able to keep Emma safe or will it all be in vain? I received this book through the publisher via Netgalley.
