Robin Elise Weiss,BA, ICCE-CPE, CD(DONA), LCCE, FACCE is the author of over 500 articles published on the web, and several articles appearing in magazines. In addition, Robin lectures on pregnancy, childbirth and related topics to doctors, nurses, childbirth educators, doulas (professional pregnancy/labor coaches) and consumers across the country.
The author and her work have appeared on numerous radio and television shows, and in publications such as Newsweek, Working Mother, New York Times, Yahoo Internet Life, American Baby, Our Bodies, Our Selves, childbirth instructor, Baby Talk, Internet World and others.
Robin has been involved with birth since 1989, teaching more than 1,000 couples as a childbirth educator and assisting at over 400 births as a certified doula. She has trained over 200 women to be professional doulas as well. With her personal and professional knowledge of labor and birth she is uniquely qualified to talk about pregnancy from a diverse collection of experiences with her own unique style. She is also a Perinatal Fitness Instructor.
She is a member of the Lamaze International Normal Birth Committee and is chairperson for the Lamaze International Birth Networks Committee, a member of the Boards of Directors for the BirthCare Network, past President of the Louisville Mothers of Twins Club, past President for the Kentucky Alliance for the Advancement of Midwifery, past First Vice President or the Louisville Mothers of Twins Club and is a past Director of Publications for the Kentucky Childbirth Education Association. She is the mother of seven beautiful children.
