About this ebook

‘My name is Alice. And my son is a murderer.’

Deborah’s son was killed four years ago. Alice’s son is in prison for committing that crime.

Deborah would give anything to have her boy back, and Alice would do anything to right her son’s wrongs.

Driven by guilt and the need for redemption, Alice has started a support group for parents with troubled children. But as the network begins to grow, she soon finds out just how easy it is for one little lie to spiral out of control...

They call it mother’s intuition, but can you ever really know your own child?

Deeply psychological and suspenseful, One Little Lie is a twisty and unnerving story about the price of motherhood and the unthinkable things we do to protect our children. Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty and Cara Hunter.

While I enjoyed it at times it was very difficult to follow. I kept having to go back and forth to keep it all straight. Felt more like an assignment then a pleasure read...not sure if I'm ready for another book from this author yet.

A good, smooth read. No spoilers necessary here. Just read it. Once you get to the second part, you'll see where it's going -- but you'll keep on because the journey is as satisfying as the destination. The novel involves three or four women, all different, but tied together by a horrific local murder. Too many loose ends remain for any of them to move ahead in their lives. They have all experienced trauma and loss, and all cope with it in a different way. It's not terribly violent -- a description of the murder sets things up in the first few pages, but after that, it's more of a psychological thriller. None of the women portrayed in the novel are superheroes or shrinking violets. Their careers and characters are admirable (for the most part...) and realistic. Recommended, and I plan to read Sam Carrington's other novels as well.
