I was lucky enough to get an early review copy of Dare to Hold thanks to both the author and the blog tour company. Carly Phillips has been an auto-buy author for me since I read her very first book. Since she has switched over to indie publishing, I'm so excited I get multiple new books from her a year. I loved Dare to Hold and was so excited to see Scott Dare find love. I'll admit I was worried how a dominating Dare man would handle having the hots for a pregnant single woman, but Scott and Meg had an instant attraction in Dare to Touch and I wanted them to end up together from the moment they met. Meg has had such horrible luck with men, and had pretty much given up on having a man in her life. However her attraction to Scott Dare hasn't gone away from the first moment they saw each other. Meg and Scott had such amazing and intense chemistry from the very beginning. While Scott was extremely protective of Meg, the heat level for the love scenes in Dare to Hold are off the charts hot. The fact that Scott is a Dare and has issues not only because of his father, but also his ex-wife worried me until he started opening up and talking to Meg about what had

Meg Thompson first met Scott Dare when she got into a scuffle with her ex and Scott was the responding officer. It was obvious there was an attraction however because of all Meg has gone through she decides she needs to stand on her own and not rely on anyone else. While Meg is out with friends, Scott notices she is being harassed and swoops in to get her out of the situation. She explains that she was out because her friends think she should have a one night stand before her pregnancy progresses. Hearing this, Scott suggests that he be that one night stand. Meg agrees and the attraction that they felt when they met explodes. Scott knows that one night will never be enough. Meg’s ex has violated his restraining order and this sends Scott into protective mode. In order to keep the woman that is starting to mean so much safe, Scott sticks close and when things escalate, he moves her into his house. After a jarring confession, what she thought could be the start of a great future, now looks like it could be a just a repeat of the past. Carly Phillips does a great job of creating characters you want to root for and gives us an engaging story with the perfect dose of hotness!

We first met Meg Thompson in Dare to Touch. After her unstable ex, Mike, pushed her and she landed in the hospital and almost lost her baby, Meg meets Scott Dare when he's the policeman who takes her statement. Immediately these two are drawn to each other. Meg is determined to stand on her own two feet after a long string of unhealthy attachments to men, including Scott's sister Olivia's husband, Dylan. Scott on the other hand is determined to protect and take care of Meg based on his nurturing ways. Scott comes to Meg's rescue one night at a bar and agrees to take her home. She tells him her friends just wanted her to find a one night stand to enjoy before her pregnancy starts showing and of course Scott is more than happy to offer his services! What neither of them ever thought was how explosive they would be together. Afterwards, Scott is determined to be with Meg for more than just one night. A week later Scott shows up at Meg's place just after Mike ignores the restraining order Meg has against him. Of course Scott is in full protective mode. While Scott is protecting Meg, their feelings continue to grow until Scott reveals a big secret from his past. This causes Meg to wit
