Ratings and reviews

You'd think by now I'd be used to it, but again there's just not enough explanation of the world and the magic here to be satisfying. Too many things are hand-waived away with nothing, not even a cursory "lost knowledge" explanation. It's a shame, because Schwab writes so well, and previous works have had such a great and fleshed out world. This serious just feels more and more empty with each book.
