Ratings and reviews

OK the 4th book in this series is probably the slowest. Out of the 5 books I had to push myself to get to the end of this one. That does not mean this book is bad. This book is amazing, but the 4th books only real flaw is that it follows the thrill ride that is book 3. Feast is more akin to book 1. Intrigue, secrets, and politics. The ending a lone makes this book worth it. If you can get past that this is not as good as book 3 and more like book 1 you will love it.

This book in the series was not as good a read as the others. Purchased on Google books and I got halfway through and for some reason, the next time I went to read it on Google, message came up that I finished the book and will not let me read it again. Bad purchase and a slow read. Hoping Season 4 show on HBO is better.

It's hard to follow a showstopper like Storm of Swords and events like the Red Wedding. I can see why for many this book read like a denouement and might have disappointed some fans, but I enjoyed watching these intricate pieces falling into place. I see the potential for some very interesting plot twists as the battle for Westeros continues. In fact, if the next book runs concurrent to these events (as eluded to by the author) I'm not sure how he could fit the finale into just 2 more books...
