About this ebook

“5 stars!!! Smart, funny, sexy and all around wonderful!” -Book Babes Unite Blog

“Such a fun read! A quirky, nerdy, shy girl and a sexy, hot alpha male.” -Goodreads reviewer

There are three things you need to know about Janie Morris: 1) She is incapable of engaging in a conversation without volunteering TMTI (Too Much Trivial Information), especially when she is unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her more than Quinn Sullivan, and 3) She doesn't know how to knit.

After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can't help wondering what new torment fate has in store.

To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan—aka Sir McHotpants—witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can't afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn to make her an offer she can't refuse.

** spoiler alert ** It took me a little bit longer to finish this novel than i would have liked but eventually, i got it done. I will have to admit that it went a little slow for my liking, I did find myself enjoying this book quite a lot. I did not know what i was signing up for when I picked this book up and imagine my surprise and delight when I fell in love with this series and with Penny Reid. Now lets gets on with what y'all really came here for, THE REVIEW. "I lost it in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet, I started to panic when I noticed the graveyard of empty toilet paper rolls." It is crazy how it was this line alone caught my attention, because who hasn't ever been in her Janies position before, failing to check on the toilet paper before getting down to business. and also i think everyone is been in a situation where everything in our lives seems to be going wrong. no matter how much you try to be positive and go with the flow, you suddenly want to take a breather and maybe scream into a paper bag for a few seconds. "She is incapable of engaging in conversation without volunteering Too Much Trivial Information, especially when she is unnerved" I think that the fact that she unintentionally starts spewing trivial facts when she is nervous is adorable to me, it has to be one of my favorite things about her. And mostly when she is around Quinn Sullivan AKA Mister McHot Pants. Like the fact that she could not control her mouth or her trivia was just so comically endearing to me. In a weird way I could really relate to her doing something embarrassing and quirky while being overwhelmingly embarrassed. But overall i think that the fact that Quinn really enjoyed and actually cared for the facts that she was spewing was also very endearing, and it was what got me shipping them together. Quinn Sullivan Has got to be one of my favorite male characters in a long time, I love the way he is just painfully quiet around others but so sweet and loving to Janie. I really loved that he never once gave up on her even when she was difficult and did not want to accept his love and affection. My favorite scene had to be after her abandonment of him after Vegas and the strip poker because she was scared, while that did upset me and angered me slightly, he still gave it a chance and fought for her. it was just so romantic and amazing of his part apart from all of his other great qualities. I really wished he would have been honest with her about him being her boss, but I did understand his motivations for not coming clean to her. I did tend to question Janie when she still could not put the pieces together and figure out the truth about him. Janie I will admit it took me a little bit of time to get used to her and her quirks, and at some times she did make me very angry. She seems like such a practical person and I understand she typically is not very emotionally available and all that jazz. I believe that is why she got with Jon because she knew he was easy, she did not have to put in a lot of work into that relationship, But with Quinn it was different. Overall I really give this book a good 4/5 stars because it was so good, I totally recommend this book to everyone who is looking for a good book.

4.5 rating. I love an awkward hero or heroine. It adds a touch of romantic innocence to the usual romance tropes. But like all of Ried's novels, I found this one too lengthy. Most of Reid's books can be edited down by 30%. If that doesn't bother you, you will love this book.

4.5 Stars I so love nerdy, quirky characters so Janie is right up my alley. She's brilliant, but a little oblivious when it comes to the opposite sex. I love she just blurts out random factoids. This book is quite humorous and it just sucked me right in. Janie's ex was a piece of work and how she was with him is a mystery to me. Quinn is just perfect for her. He's is super yummy and I love how he treats Janie. They bring out the best in one another. The only thing I would have liked is getting Quinn's point of view through out the book, but that's just a personal reader preference. Penny Reid did a bang up job writing in the first person. I highly recommend this one.
