Widow Sophie discovers that her late husband's mistress has stolen his secret diaries. She hires Nicholas to retrieve them. When the dangerous plot forces them to work together, will their lives—and their hearts—emerge unscathed? I enjoyed the characters and the intrigue in this novel. Dutiful Sophie and roguish Nicholas were perfect foils for one another. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
