Stands out with its refreshing perspective on corporate governance. Sison presents solid criticism of the underlying paradigm. In the quest for better governance after the financial crisis most scholars are dabbling within the existing 'economistic' paradigm which undoubtedly has outlived its purpose. Alejo Sison presents a very convincing and illuminating account with practical relevance. While some may be criticising the work for its lack of cohesive theoretical alternative a la Agency Theory, the main point of this book is the presentation of a fundamentally different epistemology around what corporate governance means and how those functions can be approached. As such this account is much needed and presents a solid basis rooted in philosophical thought rather than mathematical assumptions.Thanks!
