What can I say about this. There are only so many story tellers these days I find and this author is most definitely one of them. She gives you a whole world along with the characters. While the story is about Grier and Salena, the fact that his cousins all helped and took part too made this so much more than two dimentional. I loved that while it was difficult for Grier as he knew that he wanted to be with her he didn't push Salena along the way. Whilst he may have done the just the odd nudge now and then to help her on her journey it was only ever with her best interests at heart rather than his. There is just the right mix of action, intrigue and romance woven into it to keep you turning the pages until you reach the end when you want to then find the next part of the everyone's story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So pleased to read the start of another generation of Qurilixen dragon shifters. This author has me hooked on her stories and this one does not disappoint. In this generation, Grier is up for king and is watching the Federation closely as they are trying to get a bigger foothold on this planet and he is all for stopping them. Politics are a problem and the annual mating festival is coming up which he is avoiding, but when his crystal lights up he must find his mate as well. Salena is hiding and searching for her sisters, knowing that the Federation is on the hunt for her. The characters are terrific, with intense feelings, beliefs and determination in their goals. When the two join forces it is magic. The storyline is well written with drama, danger, surprises, twists, steam and so much more. Loved the chemistry and banter between Grier and Salena. The ending was great and can not wait for the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Grier (H) is a dragon shifter prince who wants to help the people of Qurilixen and prevent war. Salena (h) is a human who’s been transported to Qurilixen and is just trying to survive so that she can keep going with her quest to find her sisters. Their paths cross and Grier realizes that Salena is his mate. There is a lot of action and adventure in this story from beginning to end - new issues and challenges just keep coming, all while the emotional and passionate aspects of Grier and Salena's relationship develops. The world culture building is so mazing across all the books in the Qurilixen series and it's fun that these are the children of the original Hs/hs, as well as some of the smaller details from other books that have been worked in.
