Iroth is book 3 of 3 in the Tamsin Ley series Kirenai Fated Mates that falls within a multi-author series Intergalactic Dating Agency. All of the authors' book series will be standalone, so I think it's safe to start with any author. This particular set would be best read in order, though you can start here without losing too much. The book is written in third person omniscient from both leads' point of view (alternating). This series features alien shapeshifters with an interesting twist. Iroth follows the first two books, though the majority of all three are written as such that the timeline is simultaneous (they're all happening at once except for the very end). In this last installment we finally get to see what was going on with Maise in all those voicemails she left Lora last book. Maise is a pet shelter owner working on becoming a veterinarian who accidentally brought home a stray from the alien dating mashup her friend hosted that was a lot more than he seemed. Iroth is a smuggler who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and now has to find a way to escape. The story follows these two through an awkward meeting, some very sweet care-giving from our heroine, a sneaky trick from our hero, a bit of space faring adventure, interesting AI's, some soul-searching from both parties, a little heartbreak, and a bit of growth as well. Sometimes change is good even when it hurts. I liked these two characters and found they were well suited for one another. I do wish the book had been a bit longer to better explore their relationship growth. If you like your alien romances with lots of blue, some furry friends, a little nefarious intent, a dose of steam, forgiveness, friendship, and quirky robots this is a great read for you. I loved this series and will definitely be reading more if she adds them!

Loved this third story in this series that continues with the pet/dating an alien charity where Prince Arazhi life is threaten. This story is about Iroth a smuggler who comes to Earth to get a female human to sale and gets blamed for the assassination attempt. Hunted Iroth shape shifts into a Great Dane which Maise takes home. When Iroth transforms into a blue alien and asks for help, Maise does. What occurs afterwards is an engaging story with twists and turns with likable characters in a well written storyline that kept me entertained while I read this ARC that I volunteer to review.
