About this ebook

Three linked historical romances that will touch your heart and make you laugh, cry, and fall in love…

Join a desperate young countess, an enterprising spinster, and a penniless widow as they fall in love and learn to experience pleasure for the very first time.

This trio of sensual and deeply emotional stories includes one daring rescue, one scandalous secret, one extremely awkward wedding night, one gentle giant, two battle-scarred officers, a darkly gothic manor house, and some of the worst food in England.

The Midnight Quill Trio by award-winning and USA Today bestselling author Emily Larkin consists of two novellas and one full-length novel: The Countess’s Groom, The Spinster’s Secret, and The Baronet’s Bride.

If you love richly detailed historical romances brimming with passion, emotion, and compelling characters, then this collection is for you!

A collection of three love stories starting with the relationship between two young people despite the great difference in their social standing. In "The Countess's Groom" young Rose keeps a secret diary using her love's full name. This very short story has a suspenseful atmosphere as the reader wonders if Rose will be caught by her brutal husband's servant-spies. How horrid would her punishment be? Rose's diary plays a role in the 2nd story, serving as erotic reference material for maiden spinster Mattie. While there is some wry humor in how Mattie and Cecy maintain their spirit in Mattie's uncle's dreary home, the gothic atmosphere is vividly depicted. The Baronet's Bride's characters meet in book 2. Here their anxiously awaited wedding night is depicted. I received a free copy and voluntarily chose to post my review.
