About this ebook

“Two terrific female characters, both with secrets. Add Michael Robotham’s clean prose and whipcrack pacing. The result? A book you won’t be able to put down, although you may occasionally want to hide your eyes.” —Stephen King

“A premium delivery.” —People

Meghan doesn’t know Agatha, but Agatha knows Meghan. And the one thing Agatha looks forward to each day is catching a glimpse of her, the effortlessly chic customer at the grocery store where she works stocking shelves. Meghan has it all: two adorable children, a handsome and successful husband, a happy marriage, a beautiful house, and a popular parenting blog that Agatha reads with devotion each night as she waits for her absent boyfriend, the father of the baby growing inside her, to return her calls.

Yet if Agatha could look beyond the gloss and trappings of Meghan’s “perfect life,” she’d see the flaws and doubts. Meghan has her secrets too, especially one that she dare not ever tell. Soon the lives of these two women will collide in the most spellbinding and intimate of ways, until their secrets are exposed by one shocking act that cannot be undone. From internationally bestselling author Michael Robotham, The Secrets She Keeps is a dark, exquisite, and twisted page-turner so full of surprises, you’ll find it impossible to put down.

Very intriguing plot. Reminds me slightly of Girl in a Train but it is much better written. Well developed characteres. Strong storytelling. Though it can be a little confusing if you put it down and don't get back to it for a while so I would read it with few breaks.

I received a copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Why I wanted to read this book: Because it was compared to The Girl on the Train and In a Dark and Dark Wood. Two books I enjoyed. What I liked about this book: -I enjoyed the female characters. Meg seemed to have it all, is sincere with her relationships and remorseful for her mistakes. Agatha is just “boil the rabbit” crazy. -Witty humor and lots of funny one liners. -The friendship reminds me of “Single White Female” for married couples. How well do you really know your friends? Intriguing relationship drama. The grass always looks green on the other side of the fence. However, things are not always as they appear. What I didn’t like: There were several times I didn’t agree with a characters’ actions and I didn’t feel it was well supported. It didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the book. This was the first book I have read by Michael Robotham. I enjoyed it so much I plan to start his Joseph O’Loughlin series and “Life or Death”.

The novel starts out in a way that seems almost predictable and then takes a sharp turn, and becomes creepy and quite frightening. I couldn't put it down.
