About the author

B. SOMANATHAN NAIR is Principal, Govt. Rajeev Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam (Kerala), and Member, Syndicate, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Earlier, he was Joint Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala, Trivandrum, and Controller of Examinations, Kannur University, Kerala. Besides, he had been Professor and Head of Department of Electronics in various engineering colleges of Kerala; he also had a stint as Visiting Faculty at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Idaho, USA. A member of IEEE (USA) and life member of ISTE (India), Professor Nair has authored three books on Electronics.
