Patrick J. Coyne, MSN, ACHPN, ACNS-BC, FAAN, FPCN, is the Director of Palliative Care at the Medical University of South Carolina. Betty R. Ferrell is a Professor and Director of Nursing Research and Education in the Department of Population Sciences, at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, California.
