About this ebook

Mede is a strong-willed dragon shifter who refuses to marry. Prince Llyr wants her for himself — but with enemies gathering and time running out, can he persuade her to become his queen?

Mede knows three things for a fact:

As the only female dragon-shifter of her people, she is special.

She can kick the backside of any man.

And she absolutely doesn’t want to marry.

Mede has spent a lifetime trying to prove she’s as strong as any male warrior. Unfortunately, being the special, rare creature she is, she’s been claimed as the future bride to nearly three dozen dragons—each one confident that when they come for her hand in marriage, fate will choose them. When the men aren’t bragging about how they’re going to marry her, they’re acting like she’s a delicate rare flower in need of their protection.

But Mede is far from a shrinking solarflower.

Prince Llyr knows four things for a fact:

He is the future king of the dragon shifters.

He must act honorably in all ways.

He absolutely, positively is meant to marry Lady Mede.

And she is dead set against marriage.

Llyr’s fate rests in the hands of a woman determined not to have any man. With a new threat emerging amongst their cat-shifting neighbors, a threat whose eyes are focused firmly on Mede, time may be running out. It is up to the prince to convince her to be his dragon queen.

Book Nine of the Dragon Lords series:This is the original Dragon Lords series by NY Times and USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Michelle M. Pillow. A Prequel Story.

"The Dragon's Queen is one Kick-Butt romantic story of the woman everyone considers a rare and precious gem and the one man who sees beyond the 'fairy tale' to the hardcore goddess she really is... I enjoyed this book from start to finish, watching both Llyr and Mede change and move towards each other as who they are meant to be." Kris, Insightful Mind Reviews (2014)

Mede is a female dragon shifter – the only one of her kind – and a warrior, living in a world of pampered, imported fated mates. Prince Llyr knows she’s his destined mate, but wants more than anything to be Mede’s choice of a mate. Too bad things are a bit more complicated than just a once-in-a-lifetime relationship… The Dragon’s Queen is a fun prequel trip back in time to when the king and queen of the rest of the series met and fell in love. I wasn’t sure going on if I was going to enjoy this story as much as I did the rest of the books in the series, but I really shouldn’t have been worried. There were some slower moments to the story that I didn’t love as much as I might have wanted to, but the romance between Mede and Llyr was everything I’d hoped to find. Mede is as fabulous a heroine as any of Pillow’s women, and Llyr doesn’t give his place in romancing the woman he knows is his own. Their romance is unpredictable and exciting. I also loved Mede’s relationships with her family – her mother is utterly priceless. Pillow ties some political drama into the story and throws in some fun Easter eggs for series reader as well. The Dragon’s Queen is a fabulous wrap-up to an unmissable series for scifi romance fans—or the perfect launching point for a second read-through. In book nine of the Dragon Lords we learn of how it all began how Mede and Prince Llyr come to meet and who are to become King and Queen of the Draig. I think this story is my favorite of the nine, although I do love them all Mede's story was the best. Mede was a kickass type of girl who did what she wanted and not let any man rule her or he heart. She was the only female dragon around which made her very special. Boys from all around wanted to be her future husband even a Var but she didn't and never want to marry . Llyr was Prince of Draig and next to be King. From the first time he saw Mede he knew she was the one he's crystal show him so the day she crushed hers in the forest. On that day he watch her hidden in the brushes because he was taken with her and a little afraid to approach her. He want to meet her and get to know her but he knew that if he goes to her with a glowing crystal she might bolt. So he comes up with a plan using someone else's crystal he meet's her and tries to woo her. Mede has feeling for the Prince oh how she wanted him, but thinks it can never be his crystal doesn't glow for her. There are adventures and passionate kisses and even a passionate night as the two are left alone on the way back to there homes. When a tragic event happens to a friend of the two and all spring into action truths come to light and a happy ending is fated for the couple but not before a fight for life and love gets in the way that may change everyone's path forever.

Michelle M. Pillow has written a 5-star book. This book will grab you from the first page and keep your interest until the last page. This is Medellyn (Mede) and Llyr's story. Mede is going on a task to become a member of the Dead Dragons. Her task is to get gold fur off of a cat shifter. She meets Attor and he is a cat shifter, but unknown to her, he is the kingdom's crown prince. When she gets back home, she meets Llyr, and she and he talked. She tells him things about herself. Llyr knows that she is the one for him since his crystal is glowing. Mede broke her crystal years ago since she doesn't want to get married. She has feelings for Llyr, but she thinks they are not meant to be together since the crystal he wears doesn't glow. Llyr gets Mede to take him to speak to her father about some ceffyl that is sick. When Mede sees the ceffyl, she tells Llyr that it has eaten solarflowers and a meal after. It can't be fed for a couple of days so the toxins can be cleaned out. When they get to her father, he tells her that he has a baby ceffyl that needs to bond with her, so she goes to the calf. Llyr talks her into taking him to the mines and when they get there, she asks him "What are we doing here?" He tells her he is looking at the mine. She tells him that is not what she is talking about. She tells him that she like him but she knows that they are not meant to be together since his crystal doesn't glow. He tells her that what happens there stays there unless she tells. They end up sleeping together. When they leave the cave, Tomos is there and tells Llyr that the king needs him back at the palace at once. The news is not good. One of the Dead Dragons has gone missing. The Dead Dragons have been called in to go and search for Cynan. When they find him, he is locked in a cage and dying. He has been given some type of poison that kills shifters. Mede, Dylan, and Rolant are with him when he dies. When he is gone, Mede gets mad and goes after the ones who killed him. Mede and Dylan are the ones who go and tell Cynan's family that he is gone and he died a hero. Llyr was told, “The Var king asked about her.” The Var king sent the request for his son, Attor. Things with Attor are not what they seem. It is the day of the Breeding Festival and Llyr is looking for Mede. He has to tell her that she is the one for him and he is hers. He finds her and tells her that he lost his crystal but he didn't need it to know she was the one for him. He asks her what she felt in her heart. He asks her "Will you be my wife?" She tells him yes. Rolant comes and tells Llyr that he is needed up on the stage for the t of the festival. Mede tells him to go and she would wait there for him. When Llyr comes back for her she is gone. Llyr sees Saben and asks for his help in tracking Mede. Llyr thinks that something has happened to Mede. When Llyr and Saben find her, she is tied to a tree. Will Llyr be able to save Mede? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
