This set is comprehensive, accurate and up to date. It begins with a lot of background information which I found useful. I have not progressed through the whole thing yet, but the treatment I have read was clearly done by a teacher with a great understanding and the ability to present things sequentially and well. This is a massive set of slides, and it goes into detail on every detail of C++ I can think of. In general, this is not just a great way to learn the language constructs, but an ESPECIALLY great reference. You will refer to it for years.

This resource is great for learning modern C++ from scratch as well as reviewing complex topics in detail. It is obvious that a great deal of planning and effort went into the creation of this material. Careful attention was given to being correct while still introducing topics at an understandable rate. Topics such as const correctness are often ignored in online and printed sources but Dr. Adams covers them in detail. Just like all of Dr. Adams' other course material, these free lecture slides are better than any textbook I have had to purchase in post secondary. This is the standard to which all other course materials should be compared.
