This novella is dual POV, well written and edited, and a sweet and steamy alien romance beginning a new series for this author. I enjoyed the background plot, which finishes on a cliffhanger and continues on to the next story in the series. I enjoyed the development of the romance and the active incorporation of Oliver in both their relationship and the overarching plot. I empathised with Adeline’s history and understood how that impacted her preferences and choices.
