I have been a long time fan of Riordans books but the new direction he's gone has left a bad taste in my mouth. It's become a platform for him to push his political agenda and I'm not here to read about what Riordan believes in. I'm here to read about mythology and it's becoming less and less about that with every new book he releases. There was 3 pages that focused solely on transgenders and added absolutely nothing to the story. Those weren't the only parts either, just the part that actual made me stop reading the book and delete it from my online book library.

Mr.Riordan has wrote an epic book again! The sword of summer was was one great thing. The hammer of Thor is quite another. Although, make sure you have read the sword of summer(book 1 of Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard). Then this book will make a even more great read. This book will be more good if you are keeping up with the series and the book Mr.Riordan writes(Percy Jackson, The heroes of Olympus, etc). The hammer of thor has comedy , while has a great amount of suspense and action. I can't wait for the Ship of Dead!

I never get bored reading Rick Riordan's books, and this one was just as creative and fun as the last! Rick Riordan's characters help break stereotypes and represent everyone, like his newest character, Alex Fierro. His unique characters enrich the story and also teach about other cultures and how to be respectful. This book was full of hooks and every time Riordan teases about Annabeth I go nuts. I cannot wait for the third one!
