鐵路法於103年5月30日修正後，同年6月18日公布實施，其中刪除該法第七十四條，原依該條所訂之「鐵路路線測量規則」併同廢止，配合鐵路法之修法說明：鐵路路線測量規則依其性質無須以法規命令定之，爰將其事項併入鐵路法第十九條「建築」範疇，另以技術規範定之。爰研擬「鐵路測量技術規範」（草案），俾利「鐵路路線測量規則」廢止後，各鐵路機構對鐵路路線測量事宜，仍有依循適用之準據。
