This book is available for free and is the prequel to Broken Chains. It tales the story of the three Stone brothers and how they come to be cursed. It begins with Ben and Tor working on building a stone folly for Pamela's father. Pamela loves to draw and is soon drawn to sketch the folly and Ben. Tor must remind Ben that he needs to stay away from Pamela and that he needs to help finish the folly so that they will have the money to meet their brother and sail away to a new colony in Australia. When secrets are revealed, then trouble follows, and new journeys begin. I read this after reading Broken Chains which is Tor's story. I think they can be read in either order.

This is an introduction to a new series that is going to be one to read. Shy librarian Catena meets muscle bound Tor who is her fated mate and has woken up to protect her. Loved the characters and their connection while having a smooth flowing storyline that I enjoyed. I received a copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This is a very short and sweet prequel to a new series about gargoyles and fay prophecies. Third person omniscient perspective from multiple points of view. All three brothers get a say in this, even if only one is in the blurb. I'm looking forward to the series!
