The title makes it sound too basic to bother with.... but, he has assumed that if you're reading his book you have enough common sense not to need your hand held through every step. He has written a concise handbook that can be consulted, at a glance, at stressful moments yet is full of, very obvious, knowledge and experience so often lacking in similar books. I look forward to learning more from him when I'm cooking, brewing, distilling.......my kind of guy.

Hated zooming. Their are ways to make cheese without culture in many of your cheeses but you don't have the alternates mentioned only "our starter our renet" People any stuff will do so download a cheaper better book

Very good information; well structured, written and delivered. But, pictures paint a thousand words. This book desperately needs pictures.
