Raquel Pagno was born in Lages, SC, in 1982. Has a degree in Business Administration. She published short stories in dozens of anthologies, including in the book Sede Vampírica, with special participation by Paulo Coelho and Stephen King. Won the 8th literary contest of Suzano, Cora Coralina edition, in the “Short Stories” category, received the Cláudio de Souza Award, the Luso-Brasileiro Award in the Best Short Stories category, the Diamonds of Art and Education Award, the Latin American Award for Artistic Excellence, the Interarte Award for the work Seablue, in the Best Novels category, the Clarice Lispector Award in the Best Novelists category. She is a corresponding member of ALAF - Academia de Letras e Artes de Fortaleza, ALG (Academia de Letras de Goiás), ACLA (Academia de Letras, Artes e Ciências de Vitória), Of the Academic Center of Arts and Letters of Lisbon (Lisbon/Portugal), ALAV (Academy of Letters and Arts of Valparaíso/Chile) and ambassador of the Divine Académie Française des Arts Lettres et Culture (Paris/France). In Portugal, she published the novels Rubi de Sangue (2011), by the Òmega Publisher, Seablue (2012), by Corpos Publisher and Herdeiro da Névoa (2013), by Chiado Publisher, Senhores dos Sonhos (2015), Buriti Publisher, O Voo da Fênix and 2020 - The Revelation (2015) Tribo das Letras Publisher.
