Going Down Hard is the third book in Carly Phillips newest series, the Billionaire Bad Boys. Derek West was the gardener and maid’s son growing up. His family lived in a cottage on the estate of the Storms family where his parents work. Cassie Storms was intrigued by Derek but allowed peer pressure to make her a rich snob toward him. Years later the two meet again when Cassie decides to interview Derek for the tech magazine she is in charge of for her family’s media empire. Cassie has once again suffered from her father’s patriarchy view, being passed over for director of the company, after years of working there, when her undeserving brother receives the position. As Cassie and Derek spend time together they discover the changes each other made, their attraction for each other, and the chemistry they share. I enjoyed the camaraderie Derek shares with his business partners and how well they included and accepted Cassie when Derek brought her into their inner circle. Ms. Phillips did an excellent job describing the sexual tension and love scenes between these two. Reading about Derek’s rise from poverty to become the billionaire he now is was enjoyable, especially knowing he was still the kind, loving son and brother he was beforehand. This book is definitely hot and sexy with loveable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written, authentic and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

**Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review** Not often do I sit down and read a book in one sitting. With Going Down Hard, the third book in the Billionaire Bad Boys series, I did just that. I simply could not put this book down! Derek West is one of the co-founders of the uber popular app Blink and he has gone from virtual poverty as a child to having just about everything he could ever want as an adult. He made his way through college on scholarships and he learned the hard way that just because you have money doesn't mean that you don't treat people with the same respect and integrity that you would expect in return. When Derek receives a call out of the blue, it throws him back to a time in his life that he would prefer to leave exactly where it is - in the past. Cassie Storms has worked hard to work her way into a position where she can excel in her family's business and she hopes to be given the reigns of the company when her father finally decides to step aside. Unfortunately, while Cassie knows that women have always taken a backseat to the men in her family, she is completely blindsided by a decision her father makes and it spurs her on to accomplish what no one else has been able to do - land an interview with Derek West. The only problem is, will what happened years ago influence whether or not he even takes her call? This is a story of second chances and I felt for everyone involved as they all tried to navigate the turbulent waters that they found themselves in. I liked that in areas where I thought things could be obviously going in one direction, Carly Phillips went the exact opposite way, making the story that much richer. I enjoy any Carly Phillips book and I would highly recommend you pick this one up. I am really, really looking forward to the next book in this series based on the tease we got at the end of this one!

This is the third book in the series and was just as great as the first two. This is the story of Derek West, a self made billionaire who comes from humble beginnings and Cassie Storm, the rich girl who rejected him as a teenager. I love second chance at love stories and this one was captivating from the start. Cassie will do what ever it takes to save the publishing company her grandfather created, even if that means going hat in hand to Derek and asking him for an exclusive interview. Derek is intrigued when he hears that Cassie wants to see him, after all she is the rich girl who rejected him years ago as he was just the son of her parents' gardener and maid. It is obvious from the first glance that the attraction that these two had for each other has not dimmed over the years and despite Derek's initial plans they move full steam ahead, not only with the interview but also on a personal level. Miscommunication, resentment and regret almost destroy their romance before it can get off the ground, but when shocking revelations about the past come to light, will it bring them together or push them apart? Will Derek take a chance on Cassie? Or will her family interfere? This book was extremely well written, the characters awesome and there were certainly some smoking hot scenes as the relationship developed. I loved the romance as Derek and Cassie explored their feelings and it was fabulous to catch up with the couples from the previous two books. From what I read in the epilogue, to say I am anxious for the next book is an understatement.
