About this ebook

In USA Today bestseller Christi Barth’s last Bad Boys Gone Good novel, the brother who’s always followed the rules finally gets to be a little bad.

Kellan Maguire was a semester away from becoming a lawyer when his life imploded. Now he’s in Witness Protection, hiding from the mob and mad as hell that his brothers lied to him about, oh, everything. The only bright spot in his new life is their drop-dead-gorgeous U.S. Marshal handler. Yeah, he wants to handle her... a lot.

Federal Marshal Delaney Evans has protected her fair share of dangerous criminals. But Kellan is a whole different kind of dangerous—dangerously hot, to be specific. The charming, handsome, and utterly law-abiding Maguire brother got under her skin the moment they met and the more time she spends with him, the harder it is to deny their attraction. Delaney’s willing to give Kellan one night—to get him out of her system—and then it’s over.

Except one night isn’t enough and soon they’re breaking every rule of WITSEC to be together. Kellan’s got it bad for her, but Delaney’s career, her entire life, would fall apart if anyone found out. And then the biggest complication of all hits…

“This series gets better with each installment. The retelling of the story from each brother’s point of view adds depth and provides the chance to revisit characters you fell in love with in the previous books.” - Library Journal

Got It Bad ties the Bad Boys Gone Good series beautifully. Kellan and Delaney have been on a collision course from the very beginning, although Delaney’s position as the US Marshall assigned to the brothers puts her in an off-limits position. Kellan has had to adjust to a lot over the last few months, having his whole life ripped away from him and learning that his brothers have spent his whole life lying to him in order to protect him is a lot for anyone to come to terms with. On the surface, Kellan appears as if he has adjusted exceedingly well, taking everything in his stride, while internalizing all his pent-up frustrations. It is only when the inevitable happens with Delaney does Kellan find not only a passion to rival the sun in its heat but also a connection he wasn’t expecting, an understanding he never knew he needed. Delaney has spent her life pouring her heart and soul into her career, so you know that when she takes the risk with Kellan there is a lot more than a quick fling going on, even if she tries to maintain that status quo. Delaney has invested so much of herself into her career and avoiding relationships due to her childhood and the choices of her parents that she didn’t realize the emotional support she had been missing. There is a lot going on within the pages of Got It Bad, however, I will say the narrative focuses on the details of the Maguire brothers coming to terms with their past, accepting their situation and embracing their new lives enough to begin to plan their futures. Although the looming trail they have to testify in acts as a shadow over their happiness. There are a few surprises in store, I loved the way in which Christi blended the serious and the quirky all together creating an amusing tale rather than a suspenseful one 💞 The mixture really, really worked. Getting to witness the beginning of each Maguire brothers HEA was inspiring, my only hope is that Christi writes a short story for Lucien 🙏

3.5 to 4 star review of Got It Bad (Bad Boys Gone Good #3) by Christi Barth I struggled to connect with this book, probably because I had no idea that this was book 3 in a series which in my opinion should be read in order based on my experience with this book. (Just my opinion though). Kellan Maquire is the youngest of 3 Irish brothers who are all in Witness Protection thanks to the other 2 being part of the Mob. I can only imagine how frustrated and annoyed Kellan would be being forced into the Witness Protection program since he had nothing to do with the mob other than being related to his brothers. Kellan falls for the US Marshal Delany Evans who is in charge of their case although he appears to be somewhat immature he did eventually evolve; which was just as well as Delany was out of his league. I struggled with the two of these characters getting together particularly since Delany was risking everything for her time with Kellan. The writing was strong and the chemistry between Kellan and Delany was impossible to deny. What will happen when their relationship is discovered?
