This story pulled me in from beginning to end and was so easy to read. I was sucked in with these characters and I didn't want to leave as they were trying to figure out how to move forward. This was a great story and I can't wait to see what is coming next at the Wilder Resort and Winery. It was apparent from watching the two of them interacting that they still had very deep feelings of love for each other, though they were both trying to shut those down, hence all the fighting. Great read!

Second-chance romance where maturity really helps Evan and Kendall were the perfect insta-love story, until they weren't. Two years after their whirlwind Las Vegas romance and wedding, Evan dips out rather than talk to her about his fears. Now divorced for eight years, Kendall is a well-respected chef who needs the job at the Wilder Resort, despite the awkwardness of working near Evan. The physical attraction between these two never waned, but they're now mature enough to know that they need to work through the emotional stuff that caused Evan to walk away in the first place. Evan's a tough nut to crack, and I can't say that I agree with his reasoning, but eventually he figures out the right path and finds happiness for them both. I loved how the entire staff at the resort pulls together, not just the band of brothers but also the women who work alongside them. I loved the hints about burgeoning relationships that point to future books, though I'm not always thrilled to see a main character happy with someone who seems perfect for them only to know (from the copious hints) that they'll end up with someone else, but I've read enough books to know that authors need to establish drama. I really appreciated getting the ending to a conflict that started in the last book. If you're a fan of this author, you don't want to miss this installment of the Wilder Brothers. It's a standalone romance, but so much more happens than just the main love story so they're definitely best read in order. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I was intrigued with Evan and Kendall when we met them. They have been divorced now for many years after a brief marriage and it's clear there is a lot of tension between them, but no information on what went wrong. We finally get their story in Always the One for Me. I loved their chemistry and how they find their way back to each other, but at the same time I'm not the biggest fan of long separations, misplaced guilt, and martyrdom. At the same time the writing is excellent!
