This is Sadie and Finn's story. Sadie is a human food blogger and Finn a Quirelixen Draig prince. The story starts with Finn talking Var prince Ivar into taking a unscheduled trip through the portal to Earth to look for brides in an effort to make sure the portal stays open. Finn however doesn't tell Ivar his true plan is to stay until the next time the portal will open at that location which is in a year so that the portal will be kept open. When Ivar finds out this starts a fight between them. Ivar pushes Finn through the portal. When Sadie happens upon them and sees their shifted forms Ivar pushes her through as well but misses his chance to enter as the portal closes before he can make it through.
