Zombie Jordan is back... Lots of stitching to connect the previous book to the last, lots of it again feeling a bit too lost. But there is evolution and resolution, and the tying of lose ends, and the preparation - each of the parts of the endgame are shaped to their final, ready form. Good setup for the end of a marathon series that should have been brought to a close a long time ago, but got lost on the way to the finish line.

It is one of the worst WOT books but that is mainly due to Sanderson not being Robert Jordan. If you have gotten this far, you'll be happy to take what you can get since the alternative is nothing. It is still pretty good.

Having started with the Wheel of Time series, so long ago. I was excited to read this next installment. Although, as the reading progressed, I found that I didn't care how the town looked every time a charactor entered it. Or what every person was wearing. It became an irratant to the progress of the story.

About the author

ROBERT JORDAN (1948-2007) is best known for his internationally bestselling epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time®, which has sold over 40 million copies in North America and is currently being adapted for the screen. A native of Charleston, Jordan graduated from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, with a degree in physics. He served two tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and received multiple decorations for his service.

BRANDON SANDERSON grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. He lives in Utah with his wife and children and teaches creative writing at Brigham Young University.
