About the author

Gian Mario Migliaccio is an Associate Professor at the University of Rome San Raffaele.

He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

He has over 40 international scientific studies on sports, performance, and nutrition.

He holds three master's degrees in Sports Science, Nutrition Science, and Group and Organisation Psychology.

He is the scientific lead for international training projects and is the founder of the Sport Science Academy, the community for professionals.

With the Academy and personally, he has overseen and designed the preparation and nutrition for clubs and athletes of international and Olympic calibre in sports such as Swimming, Fencing, Golf, Formula 1, Triathlon, Martial Arts, Judo and many other sports disciplines.

Since 2016, he has been a science communicator with a social project that has surpassed 200,000 followers in Italy; from 2023, he launched the international science outreach project "Just a Minute Science" in English and Spanish.

He is registered with the Italian Biologists' Order as a nutritionist.
