The chapters have an uniform structure fostering a methodical approach to heart disease. The level is intermediate, with an accent on clinical practice. At the same time, an excellent tool for preparing for exams, as i) disease mechanisms are systematically discussed; ii) guidelines are explained and summarized; iii) novel resarch directions are explained.
