About this ebook

When five abandoned puppies were found behind Victoria Square, merchants and Artisan Alley vendors scrambled to claim them. But one of those adoptions hasn't worked out. Katie Bonner has one week to find Lily a new home or she’ll be turned in to a kill shelter. When door after another slams in her face, Katie fears she won’t be able to stop what seems inevitable, as the only person interested in saving Lily has plans that would destroy this sweet dog’s nature.

Will Katie prevail or is Lily doomed to never find her furever home?

I liked seeing Katie’s determination on finding this poor puppy a new home and even going the extra mile to take the dogs for walks each day. One of the secondary characters dropped on my likable meter. I understand the situation but at the same time she was being a little bit unfair and irresponsible. She could have asked for help prior to the situation getting so bad. The book ended well and the adorable pup ended up being with the right home, getting all the love it deserved.

About the author

The immensely popular Booktown Mystery series is what first put Lorraine Bartlett’s pen name Lorna Barrett on the New York Times Bestseller list, but it’s her talent -- whether writing as Lorna, or L.L. Bartlett, or Lorraine Bartlett -- that keeps her in her readers' hearts. This multi-published, Agatha-nominated author pens the exciting Jeff Resnick Mysteries as well as the acclaimed Victoria Square Mystery series, Tales of Telenia adventure-fantasy saga, and now the Lotus Bay Mysteries, and has many short stories and novellas to her name(s).
