About this ebook

This Christmas, Stone Ridge could use a miracle.

Wounded ex-rodeo star Wade Cruz is consumed with making a success of his family's ranch. He’s not looking for a wife, and he has no time to participate in Stone Ridge’s version of a dating show, "Mr. Cowboy." Married? Him? No way!

Daisy Carver knows what she wants for Christmas this year: a chance to prove to Wade she's more than "Peanut", his best friend's sister. She suggests a fake relationship to get the contest off his back - AND to give herself time to show him how good things could be if they were real.

But when a family secret threatens to derail Daisy’s world, it could mean the end of everything she knows and loves.

A small town, Christmas, holiday, falling for her brother's best friend, wounded hero, family secrets, rodeo cowboy romance!

The holidays always add an unexpected twist. This book is no exception. Interesting and complex characters that may have some secrets that they are keeping from others. Interesting interaction and banter between the characters. Love a cowboy in a book. Love that the characters are not perfect and are complex and unsure of themselves. Good read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. While this is a part of a series, you don't have to read them to fully understand and enjoy this book. I would, however, highly recommend them. For the best enjoyment, I would also recommend that they are read in order. Ex-rodeo bull-rider Wade Cruz in back in Stone Ridge, Texas. YAY!!!! He was injury during a rodeo and can no longer compete. He returns to the rundown family ranch. His father past away some years ago and his mother fairly recently. Unbeknownst to Wade, his father was taking Wade's winning for his gambling addiction and not for the ranch as it was intended. Wade is struggling to turn the ranch around with bare minimum money and a busted up arm. Daisy is seven years younger than Wade. She has had a crush on him since forever. Wade and her oldest brother, Lincoln have been BFF since childhood. Daisy is a mechanic working in a neighboring town. She isn't a girlie girl. Unfortunately for her, she hasn't had a boyfriend as her two older brothers and father can intimidate the other men in Stone Ridge. That is saying something as the town has way more men than women. There is talk of bringing in a production company to do a reality show called Mr. Cowboy to help bring more single women into town!!! (SIGN ME UP!!!). They want Wade to be the first cowboy. What better way to promote a show than having a retired rodeo cowboy! Daisy suggests to Wade that they pretend to date to get him out from under the pressure of doing the show! This is a wonderful story that I just adored reading. I have been waiting for Daisy's story. This is also written in a multiple person format. Not only the two main characters but a few of the prior ones as well. YAY!!! I adored also getting caught up on the 3 prior couples so this story was a winner all the way around.

The fourth book in the series "The Men of Stone Ridge" was the story of Wade Cruz and Daisy Carver both born and raised in Stone Ridge, Texas. Wade had only recently returned to town to stay as he had been following the rodeo circuit for years as a professional bull rider. He was back now rebuilding the family ranch, since his mother's passing a few months previously, and then his disabling ride retired him from bull riding. Daisy was the little sister to Wade's best friend, Lincoln, and they were several years older than her so Wade always tried to think of her as being a little sister. Daisy on the other hand had had a crush on Wade from a young age. When she learned he was back in town she rushed right over to see him only to learn the town busy bodies were after him for their latest project. The town of Stone Ridge had a shortage of women, so they had came up with a reality TV show "Mr. Cowboy". They were wanting Wade to be their bachelor. He d
