Spanish writer of dystopias, science fiction, fantasy. Novel for adults. 100% independent writer. I write because I need to. I need to live in my characters, and I don't really care about the stories that justify them. What is important is them and their lives: what seduces them, their hopes and regrets, their wrong decisions made in a fit of absurd passion. Their defeats and the losses they carry in their lives. I am their sorrows, more than their joys, who cares about the law of gravity when someone wants to commit suicide for love? I was born in Madrid in 1975. As a child I wanted to be an astronaut, and I loved books that explained the planets, the cosmos and spaceships. Then I progressively changed them for books that tried to explain what we don't see and don't know we feel. I'm still at it, looking for answers. They taught me to love books in a different way, but you'll have to read me to understand what I'm talking about. Monday through Friday, I live buried in an office, but in the evenings I take off my disguise and Ávedon (yes, with an accent) writes what I feel. I like happy endings and that my characters have to suffer and flay themselves along the way. My universes are filled with skies the color of a detuned television, lies and intense emotions. However, I like to think that in all my stories there is always hope and beauty hidden among the filth of human beings. I read practically everything, as long as there are real characters enclosed in the stories, I don't care about the genre, although I see dystopias everywhere. That's why my novels and stories touch on aspects that include the fantasy genre, crime novels or science fiction. In all of them there are human passions; always ahead of the plot, since I consider the characters as the most important thing in a story.
