About this ebook

USA Today bestseller Lenora Bell returns to her Wallflowers vs. Rogues series with a romance between a lady and the scoundrel claiming to be next-in-line for her father’s title.

Lady Henrietta Prince is far too busy for romance. She's dedicated her life to turning her family vineyards into a profitable sparkling wine venture. But when she shares a thrilling kiss at midnight with a handsome stranger, she's captivated...until he claims to be the distant heir to her father's dukedom.

Ash Ellis is a gambler who lives life on the edge. Now he's locked his sights on a glittering prize and nothing will stand in his way.

When Henrietta is forced to marry the wicked rogue to keep her beloved vineyards, she vows that Ash will never have her trust, or her love. Even if his kisses are more intoxicating than the finest champagne.

His new bride is certainly beautiful, but biddable? Not so much. Ash will settle for nothing less than Henrietta's total surrender...but is he the one in danger of losing his heart?

I'd say that this one was a 60/40 split for me. For the most part I genuinely enjoyed it but I did have some issues with it. To start I found the story fun and easy to read. In my opinion there was quite a bit implausibility in play here. Somethings I found could simply ignore or let go but others though really bugged me. Despite that detail, I liked the characters and enjoyed their chemistry. This is my volitional, forthright review.

After the death of the family's last male heir, Hetty wants her father to remarry and produce a son so the ducal estates won't revert to the crown. Hetty has devoted her life to the vineyards on her father's land and is on the brink of making a breakthrough. Then, gaming house owner Ash shows up claiming to be the long-lost ducal heir. Her father suggests Hetty marry Ash to unite the family. Can she convince Ash to let her keep her vineyards? This Regency romp is lively, fun, and a little outrageous, if not particularly plausible. I enjoyed the characters a lot. The information about wine-making was interesting and well done. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

All she wanted was to make the vineyards her mother had nurtured a success. Oh and get her father married off to a lady who had money that could be invested in their estate.... Hopefully provide a male heir to inherit! Simple? Oh no, her father, a Duke was being rather difficult. He was focused on one goal. To dance with the daughter of the duke and become the heir to his dukedom. Yes, he was a gambler and this would be his biggest win. As the owner of a gambling den, a notorious one, he would gain the ability to snub his nose at the aristocracy and achieve his goals. To seemingly mismatched characters, she a bluestocking devoted to making the wine made from the estate be able to support it and he, a boy who grew up with a very difficult life, a rake and gambler who is really a bit scandalous! Take the journey to find love and enjoy the ride in this second of the fun series!
