This app used to be a great, simple metronome app with little bloat, no excess permissions, and solid functionality. They now have decided to change all that in an effort to collect user data, ping your email, and collect an absurd subscription fee. Despite the fact that the metronome is still as good as ever, and the fact that I kinda hate how all other metronomes sound at this point, I'm actively looking for a replacement because of what they've done to the app.

taken steps backward. the lights of the apps are syncd with the wearable. so I can not have lights on the app without having lights on the wearable. some Genius (not) came up with that idea. i want lights on the app some time as I have a phone in front of me but don't want the wearable lighting up. this won't do that anymore. make me frustrated dropping. to 1 star. App was not behaving consistently. after several restarts, it started working as indicated by the developer.

This app REQUIRES "All The Time" Location permissions "so that our wearable can stay paired to your mobile device even when you are not using our app." I find this unacceptable. "On devices running Android 8.0 (API level 26) and higher, companion device pairing performs a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi scan of nearby devices on behalf of your app without requiring the ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION permission. This helps maximize user privacy protections." The Soundbrenner metronome requires Android 10 and up.
