Update 1/9/26: I found another app for guns and ammo but still use this for tools. Again, it says I have maxed out entries but only have 95 (not 100). Cheated out of 5. 4/1/25: This app was great, until it wasn't. I have inventoried all of my guns and was part way through my tools when I got a warning that I have reached 100 entries and would have to upgrade. The cheapest upgrade is $24/month. Not cheap for a homeowner that just wants to have record of things. Now I have to find something else.

Thanks for the update, and we’re sorry for the frustration. Sortly item limits are based on unique Sortly IDs (SIDs), not just visible items. Even with 95 listed, a few items with different SIDs may have counted toward the 100 limit. If you'd like, please email support@sortly.com and mention this review — we’re happy to look into it.

I purchased this app as a home user for my extensive collections and belongings, such as books, toys, barbies, liquor, glass, china, etc... This app is very easy to use. As of Jan 2019, pictures still disappear and you cannot enter a book by scan or isbn (and yes, we know pro does, but I dont have a business). As an individual wanting to be more organized, I would give this app 4 stars if the pics didn't constantly disappear and it would be 5 stars if books could be entered by ISBN or scan.

Hi Kassie, We agree !!! BTW - you can scan barcodes to enter items into the app. We looks for items across Amazon/Ebay databases. About the pictures disappearing - That should not happen. ever. Can you please send our support team debug information at support@sortly.com. We will get that sorted out immediately.

Meh. Sortly Plus is better than most (and there aint too many options out there that actually works or is easy to work with or has flexibility in recording/sorting any information desired (Sortly fails on this point)). One thing to keep in mind, this is just an inventory app and as such excells, but as a collection database record, it sucks. go look elsewhere. I like that its cross-platform compatible (even tho the PC is only via web browser and doesnt have a dedicated app). HOWEVER, I collect guitars and Sortly Plus cannot record anything more than the most basic info (a name and a serial number, is pretty much it, aside from ONE pic/record). Cannot record any other info such as where/whom/when I bought it from, amount paid, color, setup info, any notes (<- note plural, i usually have more than one notes related to each item), web links to any resources/info, cannot attach files, etc. Methinks I may cancel subscription before trial ends... I know that Sortly Pro supposedly does that BUT at $25US/month, that is WAY too much out of pocket for a private individual to justify. I dont mind paying for functionality, but not that much.
